What is dragging the growth of the environment-friendly solar energy in the United States ?

Technical limitations such as in storage/back up battery , short average sunlight insolation? The high cost of installing solar-power cogeneration systems? Or just the lack of interest from government agencies and investors?

Natural gas prices are going up while petrol prices shot up through the roofs. There is no doubt that solar energy is a renewable energy sources which is ecologically friendly so we must rely on in the face of the growing energy price escalation. Yet, the slow pace of expansion of solar energy use in the US, a major energy consumer, has been laggard. What steps are required to facilitate the use/adoption of this green technology?

Step 1:

Very Important – sophisticated and conscious citizens – this means smart buyers and smart voting. We need to have and act with a connected consciousness. When individuals start making smart choices on products, investments, jobs, consumption, ethics and consumption all of this falls into place.

Step 2:

Because of the High cost of solar energy equipment it is hard for solar energy to become wide spread energy practice. But once the cost of entry becomes something people can afford without the help of the government it will be a tough go.

Step 3:

Waiting for the non-renewables end. As the price of coal and natural gas continue to rise, and the price of solar and wind products continue to fall, there will eventually be a breaking point where it makes economic sense to use wind and solar energy as much as possible, however, most experts predict that this point will be at some point between 2015 and 2025.
