Comparing Photovoltaic Solar vs Thermal Solar
Which is more promising?
Thermal solar can convert 35% of sunlight into electricity. This is much higher than the best and most expensive photovoltaic systems can achieve over their life span. Thermal solar can be scaled up or down as the application may require, uses old world technologies, and capacities can be rapidly built. Then why the most attention is centered around photovoltaics which needs huge subsidies to begin to get viable?
