Cleanfield to install Turbines as part of Durham College expansion plans
ANCASTER (Ontario), February 23, 2009 – Cleanfield Energy™ Corp ("Cleanfield") a subsidiary of
Cleanfield Alternative Energy Inc. (TSX: AIR-V), an international market leader in Vertical Axis Wind
Turbine (VAWT) technology, announced today that it has received an order for the installation of six VAWTs onto the rooftop of Durham College’s Whitby Campus building.
The installation of the turbines is expected by August 2009 as part of the college’s expansion plans and they will be used not only as a source of renewable energy generation, but also as a learning tool. “It is a great honour that Durham College has chosen the industry leading Cleanfield Energy V3.5 vertical axis wind turbines for this project. With this installation, Durham College will be showcasing the best and latest renewable energy technologies that are being adopted by industry today and we are proud to showcase our technology to demonstrate how progressive organizations can successfully adopt renewable technologies in the Urban Environment. We are also excited that Durham College is actively fostering the training of students by offering programs that will help fill the employment needs of this rapidly growing industry,” said Tony Verrelli, CEO of Cleanfield Energy.
