Supply agreement for 54 x S88 – 2.1 MW turbines
AGL places third repeat order
Pune: Suzlon Energy Limited – the world’s fifth largest wind turbine maker with 10.5%

Energy Limited and the company’s Australian operations arm – Suzlon Energy
Australia Pty Ltd.
The Supply Agreement calls for the delivery of 54 units of Suzlon’s S88 – 2.1 MW wind
turbine generators (WTGs), translating to 113.4 MW of capacity, into Australia in 2009.
The turbines will be used in AGL’s pipeline of projects in Australia. This agreement
builds on the existing strong relationship between Suzlon and AGL that offers mutual
advantages.
Dan Hansen, CEO of Suzlon Energy Australia, said: “We are very pleased to enter
into another repeat order with AGL and continue the excellent relationship between our
organisations, based on mutual trust, respect and sharing of values. This order is
testament to AGL’s confidence in Suzlon’s product and our local team’s expertise and
capability to deliver renewable power plant solutions throughout Australia.”

This third AGL contract awarded to Suzlon will result in a total of 133 units of S88 – 2.1
MW WTGs installed on AGL wind farms. Previous contracts were for the turnkey
delivery of the now fully operational 94.5 MW Hallett Stage-1 wind farm with all 45
WTGs meeting operating expectations, and the 71.4 MW Hallett Stage-2 wind farm
currently under construction, both in South Australia.
