The 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference (21st to 25th September 2009) and Exhibition (21st to 24th September 2009) will be held at the CCH – Congress Center and International Fair in Hamburg, Germany.

1,583 abstracts have been received for the 24th EU PVSEC. Following the quality conclusions of the abstract review process, the Conference Scientific Committee, made up of 140 representatives from research and industry, put together an excellent program of plenary, oral and visual presentations.

6th European PV Industry Forum

The 6th European PV Industry Forum on Wednesday, 23rd September 2009, is the key PV Industry platform that EPIA – the European Photovoltaic Industry Association – organized, jointly with WIP – Renewable Energies, on the occasion of the 24th EU PVSEC in Hamburg.

More than 800 exhibitors (2008: 715 exhibitors) have registered for the 24th EU PVSEC. The space booked in the 7 exhibition halls of the International Fair in Hamburg exceeds the exhibition space of the previous EU PVSEC in Valencia 2008. Due to continuing requests for stand space, WIP announced that a waiting list has been established.

Peter Helm, Executive Conference Director, states: “The fact that the exhibition is already fully booked shows that the global PV community confirms the concept of combining the largest PV Solar Conference with the PV Industry Tradefair, making it the leading international B2B networking platform.”

Over 5 days of conference and 4 days of exhibition, new products and technical innovations from all areas of photovoltaics and from all over the world are on show.

The 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition EU PVSEC 2009 will be held in Hamburg, Germany. The PV Solar Conference is expected to attract some 4,000 participants, and the accompanying industry exhibition around 40,000 visitors. More than 800 exhibitors will be presenting new ideas and technical solutions in the field of Photovoltaics. The EU PVSEC, which is held at different venues throughout Europe, ranks as the world’s leading event specialized in Photovoltaics. It is supported by the European Commission, UNESCO’s Natural Science Sector, the World Council for Renewable Energy (WCRE), the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) and is realized by WIP in institutional cooperation with the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA).
