The renewable energy is being sold to Detroit Edison under a 20 year power purchase agreement.
Marty Lagina, CEO of Heritage Sustainable Energy LLC, said after the signing of Stoney Corners II: “We are looking forward to continuing and building upon our recent partnership with REpower with this project. Between 2010 and 2012, Heritage is planning to construct further projects in Michigan with the goal of building 400-500 MW in the next few years.”
Per Hornung Pedersen, CEO of REpower Systems AG, added: “We are delighted to renew our collaboration with Heritage. Although the US energy has been restrained this year, we are convinced that the long-term growth forecasts will stand the test of time.”
