Oldenburg, Prenzlau, 29 March 2010. aleo solar AG today announced that its S_18 module has received top marks with a “very good” rating in a test conducted by Öko-Test magazine. The aleo module is one of four test winners. A total of 15 photovoltaic modules were tested. Seven were rated as “good”, one as “satisfactory”, one as “adequate” and two as “deficient”. The detailed results of the tests will be published in the April edition of the magazine.
The assessment was based on the performance measurements performed by PHOTON Laboratory in Aachen. Measurements were taken at different temperatures and insolation values and produced a “very good” rating for the aleo module. The modules were also checked for fissures and contamination using electroluminescence and thermography cameras. There were no objections of any kind to the aleo module.
"Öko-Test’s findings confirm once again that aleo solar produces first-class solar modules,” said Norbert Schlesiger, director Sales at aleo solar, who will take over as the new Board member responsible for sales on 1 April 2010. “We have now been test winners several times. Our outstanding results in the test conducted by Öko-Test magazine show that we are achieving stellar product quality with our sophisticated manufacturing and high-quality components.”
Back in 2006, German product testing foundation Stiftung Warentest awarded an aleo module the top rating of 1.9. The aleo product obtained very high marks in particular for its power generation, durability and safety. The test included solar modules by 15 different manufacturers (May 2006 issue). A study by Flensburg University of Applied Sciences also attests to the high yield of aleo modules. At a test facility of Stadtwerke Flensburg, seven modules of different brands were tested throughout a whole year. This scientific study showed that the aleo S_16 modules had by far the highest electrical yields.
The Öko-Test editorial team stresses that an installation’s output depends not only on the modules themselves but also on the right planning and execution. This should be performed by a qualified specialised company, the team stated. Since aleo modules are assembled by authorised specialist dealers, expert installation is also guaranteed.
