Evergreen Solar to Display “Made in USA” ES-A Series String Ribbon® Solar Panels at Solar Power International in Los Angeles, Calif., October 12-14, 2010

Also will introduce new ES-E series with more power and micro-inverter compatibility

Marlboro, Massachusetts, October, 12, 2010 – Evergreen Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR), a manufacturer of String Ribbon® solar power products with its proprietary silicon wafer technology, will feature its ES-A series solar panel, which is produced at the company’s U.S. manufacturing facility in Devens, Mass., at Solar Power International in Los Angeles, Calif., October 12-14, 2010.

The ES-A series is a range of high quality String Ribbon® solar panels offering exceptional performance and industry-leading environmental credentials using technology developed in the United States at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). All ES-A panels are compliant with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and as such can be used in all solar projects funded by ARRA. The ES-A panels will be available for viewing throughout Solar Power International at the company’s exhibit located in Booth 3519.

“Evergreen Solar continues to produce String Ribbon solar panels and deliver more electricity with the lowest environmental impact at our U.S. manufacturing facility in Devens,” said Scott Gish, Evergreen Solar’s Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “As an American company and one of the largest solar employers in the United States, we recognize the importance of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in helping the U.S. economy and growing the number of jobs in this country. As the number of ARRA solar projects continue to increase across the U.S., our ES-A series panels will continue to be the panel of choice for American-based installers and end users.”

Also on display at Solar Power International will be its newest and most powerful ES-E Series solar panels featuring a 220w version. The ES-E series panels have an industry standard voltage of 29v which makes them micro-inverter compatible. The panels are also IEC 61701 salt mist certified signaling that the panel will not corrode when exposed to salt-based liquid, such as sea mist, making them ideal for installations in coastal regions.
