E-Ton Solartech (www.e-tonsolar.com) was founded in 2001 by the E-Ton Group; a multinational conglomerate dedicated to producing sustainable technology and energy solutions and was listed on the Taiwan OTC stock exchange in 2006.  At the end of 2010, the production capacity was 560 MW per annum and a capacity increase to 820 MW is foreseen for 2011. Shipments of solar cells were reported at 420 MW for 2010.

E-Ton Solar Tech is a Taiwan-listed company specializing in the development and manufacture of solar cell and energy solutions. Chairman Stephen Wu founded the company in 2002 with the desire to mitigate the increasingly severe effects of climate change and make a positive impact on the environment.

As a fully integrated supply chain provider, E-Ton Solar is able to furnish its global network of customers across Europe, the Americas and Asia with a holistic suite of energy solutions. Its stream of partnerships includes forging a strategic alliance with Japan-based M.Setek, which specializes in the design and manufacture of semiconductor fabrication equipment, and acquiring US silicon wafer supplier Adema in the middle of 2007.
